| | hey everyone, have been really busy with settling stuff so havent really updated recently. hope things are good with everyone.
anyway, am flying off to Ho Chi Minh City this Saturday for leisure and search for potential business opportunities for a few days and in between am taking a train to a beachside resort called Phan Thiet. Was abit worried that the typhoon might've hit the area but seems like it went through Da Nang and Hoi An (which is north of this place) before proceeding to Laos. Looks like I wouldnt have to reroute plans, especially since I was planning to go to Bangkok for furniture shopping and had to cancel it due to the political uncertainty and coup going on. Would upload pics after I'm back.
was thinking of trying for the Green Card Lottery, only to do more research and realize that it's alot easier to get it than to actually keep it. From what i understand you need to reside in the US for about 90% of the year to make sure it doesnt get revoked. that really sucks.. i thought i could have PR status just as backup in case i get sick of this place (which tends to be more often than not).. maybe not eh... sigh...
Had gone to cut my hair today at Holland V's Blitz and now it's somewhat like a mini mohawk from the back. ahhh the luxuries of being self employed.. dont think any boss would take too kindly to my new hairstyle...
Still been busy with my fund management thing... but am slowly venturing into FX trading... what a rush... just to brush up on my various chart reading skills.. I've signed up for one of them trading courses... have had very positive feedback from my father's friend who's always skeptical about such things but has been singing his praises after taking the course... besides the fees are very reasonable (and possibly even very cheap!!) by benchmark standards (he's charging S$1800 for the course as compared to others that charge S$15-20k).. so this starts in early November but will be doing a crash course in it so instead of 5 months it'll take be 1.5 months to reinforce? im not complaining...
For foodies out there that dont know whats good to eat in SG or where to go.. May and I went to this place at the Red Dot Traffic Building called Le Papillon. Highly recommended although I wouldnt suggest it for people on a budget (avg. of S$160 for a couple for dinner).. here's the address and contact in case you wanna make a reservation:
Le Papillon 28 Maxwell Road, #01-02, Red Dot Traffic Building. Tel: 6327-4177. www.le-papillon.com.sg
ok i'm done with my boring updates. take care til the next updates... which should be after i'm back from vietnam... late...
